Tinubu names Abdullahi Mustapha Nigerian Energy Commission DG / CEO

Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha has been named the Director-General and CEO of the Nigerian Energy Commission by President Bola Tinubu.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement on Monday.
Mustapha reportedly had a position in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission for more than ten years and had extensive knowledge of the energy and space technology industries.
Mustapha also has a post-doctoral fellowship as a research associate in the School of Engineering at the University of Manchester in England.
He also holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering with a focus on renewable energy.
Tinubu expects Mustapha to play a significant role in “his administration’s intensive push to diversify the nation’s energy sources in a coordinated manner across the government towards the ultimate goal of industrializing every part of the country with every citizen freed from the chains of energy poverty,” according to the statement.
