In Budapest on Thursday night, Danielle Williams of Jamaica defeated Tobi Amusan to claim the women’s 100-meter hurdles world championship.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico, the reigning Olympic champion, finished second in 12.44 seconds, and Kendra Harrison of the United States took third in 12.46 seconds. Williams, 30, who had previously won in Beijing in 2015, timed 12.43 seconds.
Amusan and the 2019 champion, Nia Ali, on the other hand, came in sixth and last, respectively, and were never in contention.
The World Athletics Championships are now taking place in Budapest, Hungary, according to Platinum Times.
