U-20 WWC Qualifier: Falconets advances to third round as Mauritius withdraws
Due to Mauritius’ withdrawal, Nigeria’s Falconets have secured a spot in the third round of qualifying for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
On Thursday night, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) posted on their official X Twitter that Mauritius had withdrawn.
Prior to today, the Falconets were supposed to play Mauritius the following month.
Mauritius defeated Chad in a walkover to advance to the second round of the qualifiers.
The NFF revealed the makeup of the technical staff for the nation’s U-20 team on Wednesday.
At the most recent World Cup, the Falconets advanced to the quarterfinals.
At the Colombia 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, two teams from Africa will compete.
