UCL: Real Madrid defeats Braga 2-1 as Bellingham continues scoring form

Jude Bellingham added to his impressive start to the season with another goal to assist Real Madrid win the Champions League at Braga.

Following Rodrygo’s first-half goal, Bellingham hit the bottom corner with a fantastic, curling effort in the 61st minute.

This season, the England midfielder has 12 goals in 15 outings for club and country.

Braga’s Alvaro Djalo pulled one back, but Real held on to win Group C.

For the visitors, Vinicius Junior believed he had added a third late on, but his strike was ruled out for offside.

Rodrygo’s first-half shot was also disallowed as Real Madrid created the majority of the chances at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.

After the final whistle, Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger was removed off the field by a few of teammates after being involved in an argument with several Braga players.

As a result, the 14-time champions now top the group with a perfect nine points after their first three matches, while Braga sit third with three points.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team leads second-placed Napoli by three points after a 1-0 win against winless Union Berlin on Tuesday.
