The three final nominees for the 2022–23 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Awards were revealed by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on Thursday.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Inter Miami, and Manchester City teammates Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland are the three nominees.
On Thursday, August 31, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, there will be a ceremony to draw the teams for the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League group stages.
During the 2022–23 season, Messi, Haaland, and De Bruyne all performed above average.
According to Platinum Times, coaches and journalists were asked to choose their top three players from the shortlist by giving them, respectively, five, three, and one points.
