Under our watch, security agencies will be strengthened — Reps Speaker Abbas

Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said the 10th National Assembly will work to enhance the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in order to address the country’s security concerns.
Abbas made the remarks during a two-day post-inauguration conference for members of the House Committee on Defense. He called for a collaborative effort to address the country’s complex security concerns.
This was said by Mr Musa Krishi, the Speaker’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Saturday.
He pushed for a holistic strategy to national security, stating that the Armed Forces and other security agencies needed to be strengthened.
Abbas stated that the 10th House of Representatives would continue to support security agencies’ work by providing appropriate budget, new equipment, training, and increased welfare packages for security personnel.
