Muhammad Sani Abdullahi hails from Kaduna State. He was born on October 26th, 1979.
Education
Sani Abdullahi holds a master’s degree in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester and another Master’s degree in International Frome and Diplomacy from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He also has certificates in Public Finance at the London School of Economics, Sustainable Development at Columbia University and Advanced Project Management at Oxford University.
He was part of the 2017 cohort of Georgetown University’s Leadership Seminar.
Career
Sani Abdullahi Was a mentee of Amina Mohammed, Secretary Ban and UN Deputy secretary General before he was appointed Commissioner in Kaduna State.
He also worked as an Economist and Deputy National Program Manager for the Millennium Development Goals at the Nigerian Presidency and Economic adviser of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum.
In 2018, he served with the World Bank Expert Advisory Council on Citizen Engagement.
Abdullahi is also a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) and a Fellow of different professional bodies including;
Fellow of the African Leadership Institute, West Africa, a collaborate initiative with the Aspen Global Leadership Network and an Archbishop of Desmond Tutu fellow.
Muhammad Sani Abdullahi presently serves as deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after appointment by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in September, 2023.
