Seyi Vibez hails from the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria, he was born in Ketu in Lagos State, Nigeria on 12th July, 2000 and given the name Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi.

He spent his formative years in Lagos State where he attended As-Sodiq Primary School in Ketu and Skylights Secondary School in Agric Ikorodu.

He undertook his undergraduate studies at the University of Lagos where he studied Sociology.


In 2019, Seyi Vibez made his first music debut with his first single “Anybody” but he rose to prominence with his hit single “GodSent,” which resonated with audiences and showcased his vocal prowess and songwriting skills.

The song quickly gained popularity and solidified Seyi Vibez as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.

His second studio album Billion Dollar Baby, which included the mixtape “Billion Dollar Baby 2.0,” was released in 2022 and peaked at number one on the Turntable 50 albums chart, this music success was followed by his  debut studio album No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV).

In the same year, MoreBranches listed him as one of the 16 African artists to watch.

Seyi Vibez released “Memory Card,” his five-track debut extended play, on January 6, 2023. American rapper YXNG K.A. made a guest appearance on the song.

The EP received over 6.30 million streams in its first week of release, with four of its tracks topping the Turntable top 10 chart. Pan African Music named the EP among the top 10 albums of January 2023.

On February 2, 2023, “Let There Be Light” by fellow Nigerian star Zlatan featuring Seyi Vibez was released and it chartered on the Apple Music’s top 100 Nigeria.

He followed this up by “Jajoo” in August  and was part of a song by Kizz Daniel.

Owing to his career success, one of the top gift card exchange platforms in Ghana and Nigeria, Cardtonic, named Seyi Vibez as its brand ambassador in August 2023.

Seyi Vibez released another song on Instagram in April 2024, this time featuring a young person named Muyeez and in less than 24 hours following its release, the song eventually reached the top of the Apple Music Nigeria charts.

Also, Okay Africa listed “Alaska” a single from his debut extended play as one of the best songs in Nigeria.
