Jamila Bio Ibrahim hails from the north-central portion of Baruten local government area, Kwara State.
According to reports, the minister of youth is 37 years old.
Jamila is the first daughter of Honourable Isa Bio Ibrahim, who served as Minister of Transportation and later as Minister of Sports in the administrations of Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua and then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Career
Jamila holds a medical degree (MBBS).
She is a dedicated adolescent advocate who has served in a variety of positions outside of her medical expertise.
Among others, the Minister of Youth worked as the State Focal Person for the National Human Capital Development Programme. She was also the Kwara State Focal Person/Coordinator for the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD at one point.
Jamila is an SDGs Advocate, Eminent Peace Ambassador, CleanNigeria Ambassador, Humanitarian, Polo enthusiast.
Political career
Jamila was most recently President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF).
