The average low-grade worker in the nation will receive an additional N25,000 each month, according to President Bola Tinubu.
The president also stated that talks about attaining a minimum wage without generating inflation are still ongoing with organized labor and other private sector parties.
In his speech commemorating Nigeria’s 63rd year of independence, Tinubu made this clear.
“Based on our talks with labour, business and other stakeholders, we are introducing a provisional wage increment to enhance the federal minimum wage without causing undue inflation,” Tinubu said.
“For the next six months, the average low-grade worker shall receive an additional twenty-five thousand naira per month,” he added.
