Tinubu set to preside over 2nd FEC meeting today

The Federal Executive Council is scheduled to convene today, Monday.

Mr Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, informed State House Correspondents on Sunday.

He stated that President Bola Tinubu will preside over the meeting, which would be attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President’s Chief of Staff, and Ministers.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the meeting will be attended by the Federation’s Head of Service, Special Advisers, and other high government officials.

According to Ngelale, the second edition of the conference in the life of this government will debate problems surrounding the president’s approvals on economic and social matters.

In August, new ministers attended the inaugural meeting to receive their first briefing on their roles and responsibilities under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The FEC is a constitutional institution where Ministers deliberate and approve government policies, with the President serving as Chairman and the Vice President serving as Vice Chairman.
