Dapo Abiodun was born in Iperu Remo, Ogun State on 29th May, 1960.
Education
In 1972, he completed his early education at Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti before proceeding to Joseph’s College fir his Secondary education, Info State.
He also attended Info High School where he completed his Secondary education in 1978.
He is a graduate of Civil engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
He also obtained a BBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State University, Atlanta, Georgia.
Career
Abiodun chairs Heyden Petroleum Ltd, an oil and gas firm and also founded First Power Ltd.
In 1998, he was elected to the Ogun East Senatorial seat on the defunct United Nigeria Congress party.
In 2019, he was elected as Governor of Ogun State after his victory in the State general election. He was re-elected in 2023 for a second term in office.
