  1. Mish was born on 15th May, 1982, his real name is Michael Aniekeme Meshach.
  2. He hails from Obot Okoh Mbiaobong, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
  3. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Uyo in 2005.
  4. His musical career began in 2005 with inspiration from by top artists like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, and 2Face Idibia. His hit song, “Akwa Ibom Ayaya”, was released in 2011 and it was among the most popular songs in Nigeria as at the time. The song was themed on the cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom expressing his love for his hometown.
  5. He established the Mish Foundation with a sole aim of empowering youths, promoting education, and supporting the less privileged. He also participated in various campaigns and initiatives, such as the Akwa Ibom Talent Showcase, the Peace Concert, and the Save the Children Project.
  6. Mish died on February 14, 2024, at the age of 42, after a brief illness, he left behind a legacy of music, love, and service that will always be remembered.
