Popular Nollywood movie producer, Andy Ikechukwu Nnadi, better known as Andy Best, has reportedly passed on.
The news about his death was confirmed by the convener of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, Seun Oloketuyi.
According to the reports which emerged online, the filmmaker passed on Tuesday, March 19th after a prolonged ailment in a private hospital in Owerri, Imo state.

- Late Andy Best was an indigene of Umunkwo village in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state.
- Andy Best began producing films in the 1980s, and one of his most successful works is Ikuku (1995), starring Pete Edochie.
- He was the CEO of Andy Best Electronic Limited and Andy Best Production, a popular movie production firm in Nigeria.
- His movie, Narrow Escape (1999), sold over 100,000 copies when it was released, an enviable feat.
- One of his most recent productions was Abuja Strippers, released in December 2023.
- Other movies he has produced are; ‘The Lion of Africa,’ ‘White Poison,’ and ‘My Father’s Cup’ amongst others.
- The deceased have been deposited at the Aladinma Mortuary, in Owerri, Imo State.
