The international friendly match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and world champions Argentina scheduled for next month has been cancelled.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has not issued an official statement regarding the cancellation of the high-profile friendly game scheduled for March 26, 2024, in Los Angeles, United States.
According to BBC Sport reporter Oluwashina Okeleji, the cancellation was due to the Nigerian delegation’s visa processing time being too short.
Okeleji alleged that the game’s US organisers have already drafted Costa Rica to replace the Eagles.
The friendly game between the Eagles and Argentina was originally planned to take place in China but was canceled.
The game was called off after Lionel Messi failed to appear in a friendly match between Inter Miami and a Hong Kong Selected XI.
