Again, EFCC nabs 15 Internet fraudsters in Kaduna
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission confirmed the arrest of fifteen accused internet fraudsters in Zaria, Kaduna State.
According to a statement made by the anti-graft agency on Thursday via X, the suspects were seized near Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria after credible intelligence linked a network of fraudsters to suspected involvement in internet fraud.
Consequently, the EFCC operatives acted swiftly on the intelligence received, leading to the arrest of the suspects in the vicinity of the university.
During the arrest, items were recovered from the suspects.
“Items recovered from them include cell phones and laptops. The suspects were immediately moved to the Kano Zonal Command of the EFCC for a more thorough investigation.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
On Wednesday, operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC arrested 23 suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu State.
