Early life
Ali Nuhu was born on 15th March, 1974 to Mr. Nuhu Poloma and Mrs. Fatima Karderam Digema in Borno State.
Education
Nuhu had his elementary education at Riga Special Elementary School and then the Dawakin Tofa Science College Kano before bagging a Bachelors of Art degree in Geography from the University of Jos. He did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
He further attended courses on Filmmaking from Asian Academy of Film and Television Noida, Delhi. Transmedia Story Telling in the University of Southern California Dept of Cinematic Arts and Acting for the Camera in the Los Angeles Center Studios, Relativity Education.
Career
In 1999, Nuhu acted his first movie, Abin sirri ne after which he ftured in Sangaya which became one of the highest-grossing Hausa films at the time earning him lots of accolades.
Other films he acted includes Azal, Jarumin Maza, and Stinda, Gida, monscor, Dear, Affy, one Lagos night, wani Hanin, Banana island ghost amongst others.
Owing to his years of experience in the entertainment industry, Ali was appointed to the position of the Director of the Nigerian film Corporation by President Bola Tinubu in January, 2024.

Ali Nuhu is married to Maimuna Garba Ja Abdulkadir and their union is blessed with children.
He is a Muslim and ambassador of brands like Globacom, OMO, Samsung and he is presently an ambassador for cereal brand, Checkers Custard.
