According to Umar Namadi, governor of Jigawa State, Nigerians will soon realize the advantages of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration removal of fuel subsidies.
Speaking at a gathering held in his honor over the weekend by inhabitants of Hadejia, he made this claim.
According to him:
“We have to exercise patience. I am assuring you that the painful reforms carried out by the APC administration will soon yield a positive result.
“President Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria; as such, he needs the full support of Nigerians to actualise his missions for a better Nigeria.
“What is required from Nigerians is understanding and support. Soon, you will turn out to be the real beneficiaries of the subsidy removals.”
Dr. Bature AbdulAziz, national president of the Harmonized Traders Union, had earlier urged the governor to develop a plan to stop the state’s youths from fleeing to the south of the country in large numbers.
