Nigeria’s renewed crackdown on cryptocurrencies has begun a new chapter, with the authorities pursuing senior officials from Binance.
According to a Financial Times article, two crypto platform executives who came to Nigeria following the country’s recent restrictions on various cryptocurrency trading websites were detained and their passports taken by the office of the country’s National Security Adviser (NSA).
This validates recent reports that the country may be targeting crypto dealers in an effort to reign in currency speculators.
