BREAKING: Rivers crisis: Tinubu meets Fubara, Odili, others in Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Fubara was led to the seat of power by former Rivers State governor Sir Peter Odili and other state stakeholders.
The President appears to be interfering in the dispute between the governor and his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Wike was previously seen at the State House.
According to sources within the presidency, the meeting may be related to recent developments in the state, in which 27 out of 32 members of the State House of Assembly loyal to the FCT Minister defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, was observed joining the meeting before it began in earnest.
