BREAKING: Senate meets security chiefs, NSA, ministers behind closed-door

The Senate is currently meeting behind closed doors with the country’s security leaders and several ministers to discuss the recent spate of insecurity.

The Red Chamber postponed the meeting last week to today, Tuesday, February 13.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, and Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) Yusuf Magaji Bichi.

Others include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser (NSA), Dr. Olawale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating for the Economy, Bello Matawalle, Minister of State for Defence, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, Ibrahim Geidam, and Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
