BREAKING: Supreme Court declares PDP’s Mutfwang as winner of Plateau guber election
Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 525,299 votes to beat the All Progressives Congress candidate, Nentawe Yilwatda, who garnered 481,370 votes during the 18 March governorship race in Plateau State.
The Supreme Court has restored the sack of Caleb Mutfwang as Governor of Plateau State.
Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 525,299 votes to beat the All Progressives Congress candidate, Nentawe Yilwatda, who garnered 481,370 votes during the 18 March governorship race in Plateau State.
The governor’s election was validated by the Plateau State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Jos, the state capital.

But Mr. Mutfwang’s triumph was overturned by the Court of Appeal in Abuja in a ruling that was given on November 19, 2023, leading him to file an appeal with the Supreme Court to contest the ruling of the lower court.
