BREAKING: Supreme Court nullifies Ihedioha’s petition seeking to sack Uzodimma

Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State filed a petition with the Supreme Court requesting a certificate of return as the rightful governor of the State.
Ihedioha had persuaded the Supreme Court that Governor Hope Uzodinma was not qualified to compete for office in the first place, saying that the court had previously designated Uche Nwosu as the rightful candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Supreme Court denied the motion for lack of merit in a decision read by Justice Tijjani Abubakar on Tuesday, calling it superfluous and vexatious.
It imposed an N40 million fine on Mike Ozekhome for putting the case before the court.
