Carlo Ancelotti pens fresh deal to remain Real Madrid manager until 2026

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the club until June 2026.
The Italian, 64, was named to the Bernabeu for the second time in 2021 on a three-year contract.
He was connected with the job of managing Brazil earlier this year, but he stated his desire to stay at the club.
Ancelotti has won 10 trophies as Real Madrid manager, including two Champions Leagues, the most recent of which he won in his first season back at the club in 2021-22.
He has also won two Copas del Rey, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, and one Spanish Super Cup.
Ancelotti previously commanded Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, leaving a year after winning the Champions League.
After leaving Premier League club Everton in June 2021, he returned for a second stint as manager, succeeding Zinedine Zidane.
Real Madrid’s manager is the only one to have won four European Cups, as well as the first to win all five major European leagues in Italy, England, France, Germany, and Spain.
Real won the Copa del Rey last season but finished second to Barcelona in the Spanish top flight and lost in the Champions League semi-finals.
They lead La Liga after 18 games this season and are still in all of their European and domestic cup events.
