Emmanuel Denis completes loan move to Istanbul Basaksehir

Istanbul Basaksehir, a Turkish Super Lig club, has completed the signing of Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest.

Dennis was loaned out to the former Turkish Super Lig champions for the rest of the season.

The transaction does not include a buy option.

Following his move from Watford, the 25-year-old battled for playing time at Nottingham Forest last season.

The Nigeria international made only nine appearances for Steve Cooper’s team.

Dennis appeared in 16 league games for the Reds last season, scoring two goals.

This season, he has been absolutely frozen out.

After completing the move, the versatile forward voiced his excitement.

“My first encounter with Başakşehir was when Club Brugge played against them in qualification for the Champions League,” Dennis told the club’s official website.

“My big brother, Emmanuel Adebayor, played the game as well, so we had a conversation after the game and he invited me later to Istanbul.

“I met him here, we relaxed, went to his house together, spent the whole day together. He told me a few things about the club.

“It was just in my head and then recently I received a message from my agent that the club were interested in me.
