FCT: Wike names Michael Chinda SA on Land, Urban, and Regional Planning

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has named Michael O. Chinda, an Ikwere native, as Senior Special Assistant on Land, Urban, and Regional Planning.

Chinda received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Port Harcourt after graduating from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology in 1987.

Chinda, a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, worked for the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing from 1989 to 2004.

From 2008 to 2010, he served as Secretary of the Obio Akpor Local Government Council, and from 2011 until 2023, he was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

According to a statement released by the FCT Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, land and urban planning are key components of any city’s development.

Chinda is well-equipped to face the intricacies and issues involved with these areas, thanks to his significant expertise and academic background.
