On Saturday, an early morning fire destroyed the home of Katsina State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Zango, in Zangon Daura.
As of Saturday afternoon, no details about the incident had been released.
However, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Musa Rabiu Mahuta, accompanied the ministry’s management staff on a condolence visit to the town to express condolences to the commissioner.
The incident was confirmed by an official who was part of the group but requested anonymity.
” You know Iam not supposed to speak on this incident, but the country home completely burnt down, ” the official disclosed on Saturday evening.
The commissioner did not pick his calls and has not responded to the SMS sent to him on the incident.
