President Bola Tinubu is now meeting with former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon (Retd) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The current meeting between the two leaders is the first since Tinubu assumed office as president in May of last year.
Although the reason for the meeting has not been confirmed, it is believed that the former Head of State will talk with President Tinubu how to handle the country’s economic and security challenges.

It should be noted that Gen Gowon led Nigeria through the arduous phase of the Nigerian Civil War and a portion of the post-Civil War period.
He has also been involved in efforts to stabilize the country, organizing stakeholders in peace efforts over the years.
