Anglican priest Rev Agbadamashi Emmanuel, along with his wife and kids, are reportedly missing after being abducted by gunmen.
On Friday, October 6, Platinum Times learned of the event that took place near the Evwreni junction along the East-West road.
According to reports, the gunmen assaulted and abducted the cleric and family members as they were traveling from Ughelli to Uwheru Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The cleric and his family are still being held captive at the time of writing.
In a phone conversation with our correspondent in Warri, the Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Hon Justice Iyasere, corroborated the information.
He was unable to establish, though, whether the kidnappers had made any demands for ransom.
As soon as he receives information from the police division, DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, promised to contact our correspondent again.
