Gunmen storm Delta community, kills son as clergy escape
A young man named Christopher Nicholas was reportedly killed by gunmen after being shot many times. The event took place at his father’s property on the Oviri-Ogor/Edjekota route in Ughelli North Local Government Area in Delta State.
Pastor Nicholas Omoroka was shot by the gunmen in front of his home, Platinum Times learned.
The clergyman apparently ran away into the bush after returning from a trip. However, when he heard gunfire, his son, who was inside a neighbor’s home when the shooters attacked his father, ran outside.
The attackers shot the young man multiple times, killing him, and then they went looking for his father. He was in his 20s.
The deceased, according to information obtained by Platinum Times, had just finished building his duplex and was preparing to move into it by the end of October. He passed away suddenly while transiently residing in his father’s property.
DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police Command, promised to react to questions from the Daily Post as soon as he had information from the police division closest to the scene of the incident.
