Hardship: Man murders son in Abia for eating last portion of meal

The police have arrested a man named Marcel Udeh from Umunneochi LGA in Abia State for allegedly killing his son.

According to a neighborhood source, his kid committed the offense of returning home and eating the remaining portion of food in a pot inside the family’s kitchen.

According to the account, Mr. Udeh was upset that his late son might enter the kitchen and steal food without his permission.

In rage, he allegedly ran into his room, pulled out a gun, and shot his kid, killing him.

Mr Marcel Udeh was quickly captured by members of the village, who tied his two hands and laid him on his child’s dead body.

According to another report of the incident, the suspect used a sharp object on his son, causing his death.

Udeh, praying for forgiveness, blamed his crimes on the devil and expressed repentance.

When contacted, ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Abia State Command, verified that the incident occurred at the Umunneochi Division and that the suspect had been apprehended.

Yes, we received a report at Umunneochi Division, the suspect was apprehended, and the case is currently being forwarded to the SCID for discreet investigation before being charged in court,” said the PPRO.
