Following the drama surrounding Saturday’s governorship primary in Edo State, the ruling All Progressives Congress has removed Governor Hope Uzodimma from his position as Chairman of the Elections Committee.
Bassey Otu, the Cross River State governor who was formerly the deputy chairman of the seven-member committee, replaced Imo State governor.
Sulaiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, confirmed this in a statement made on Wednesday.
Argungu revealed that Otu has been tasked with administering the re-run poll on Thursday, February 22.
