Kogi Guber polls: Hussein ex Rep member, dumps PDP for APC

Ismail Inah Hussein, a former federal legislator in the House of Representatives, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.

Hussein, who represented Kogi State’s Idah Federal Constituency, revealed his defection on Friday during an APC campaign event in Ajaka, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area.

The former legislator, who joined the APC with hundreds of his supporters, ascribed his choice to his desire to contribute to the development of Kogi State and the country as a whole.

He stated that the APC government in Kogi State had instilled unity, security, and general development of the state, which prompted him to endorse the APC governorship candidate, Usman Ododo, for consolidation.

He vowed to mobilize heavily for his new party and ensure that the APC wins decisively in the governorship race on November 11.

While congratulating the new members, Abdullahi Bello, the APC Chairman in Kogi State, expressed confidence that the APC will win overwhelmingly in the upcoming election.

Former APC State Chairman, Hadi Ametuo; Deputy Governorship Candidate, Joel Oyibo; APC Zonal Chairman, Muhammed Alfa; member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, David Zacharias; and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko were among those in attendance.
