Manchester United players speaks on Mason Greenwood’s return

According to the UK Sun, Mason Greenwood’s Manchester United teammates would be in favor of his return to the team.

Since the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the attempted rape and assault charges against the 21-year-old, the Premier League team has been conducting an internal investigation.

United has kept Greenwood on suspension for the past 18 months since his arrest in January 2022.

He hasn’t participated in Red Devils games or Carrington training sessions since that time.

However, his teammates think he merits a second opportunity.

A senior source said:

“All the players believe he deserves a second chance because he’s innocent in the eyes of the law.

“He didn’t have the opportunity to clear his name in court because the charges were dropped, so the players feel like he has been left in limbo.

“They know it will be difficult but they are willing to support him through it, and protect him.”
