He schooled at Living-Spring Montessori in Lagos and Hi-Grade College in Lagos, where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos.
Career
He worked as a banker before joining the music industry. His first single was released in 2916 under Davido’s record label, DMW. The song ranked number 9 on the Nigeria Playdata charts and it’s video gathered one million view few days after it’s release.
Other singles he released includes Yawa, Sade, Che Che, and Mama. In October 2018, he released singles “Posh” and “Fantasy” featuring Olu Maintain in anticipation of his first studio album titled “The Mayor of Lagos which was released on the 16th of November, 2018. The song peaked at number 15 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
In 2020, Mayorkun alongside other top artists performed at the Convention center of the Eko Hotel and suites, Victoria Island, Lagos for the 2020 vanguard personality awards. He exited DMW record and released his second album, “back in office” through Sony Music, West Africa division in Nigeria in 2021. He dropped his new single the same year titled “Low Key”.
