Mr. Ibu, a veteran comic performer, has gone to social media to seek public aid as he battles an illness that could lose him his leg.
On Wednesday, the actor made the request from his hospital bed.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, the actor stated that he had been hospitalized for several weeks.
When asked about the nature of his disease, the actor revealed that his doctors advised him that if he didn’t exhaust all of his options, they might have to amputate his leg.
In addition, his daughter, Jasmine Okafor, reported that Ibu is not improving and has drained all of his financial resources, thus the public appeal.
Jasmine requested concerned citizens to assist in getting Ibu to a better medical facility.
Capturing the video, Ibu wrote:
