Nasarawa: Protest turns bloody as woman is shot while protesting naked against Sule’s Supreme Court victory

On Friday, a woman who has yet to be recognized was shot in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, while protesting the Supreme Court’s decision to validate Governor Abdullahi Sule’s election.
According to Platinum Times, protests erupted in Lafia and other areas of the state following the court’s decision to uphold Sule’s victory while dismissing the Peoples Democratic Party and Emmanuel Ombugadu’s cases.
In a video obtained by Platinum Times, the woman is seen strolling naked and alone when an unidentified person shoots at her.
The woman, whose name could not be determined at the time, was observed crying and rolling in the pool of her blood.
Platinum Times could not determine if she was shot by security personnel or hoodlums.
Following the woman’s fall, a background voice commented in Hausa, “Lafia has become what it has become.”
Checks by Platinum Times reveal palpable dread among state citizens, as agitated teenagers in some places urge that the protest against the Supreme Court’s decision must continue till.
Previously, state police used tear gas to disperse elderly women at the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) state secretariat.
