President Tinubu receives ex-President Good luck Janathan in Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu and former President Goodluck Jonathan had a meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara) were all rumored to be meeting with the President.

Jonathan’s visit to the Villa on June 13 was just his second; the reason for the encounters is still unknown.

The purpose of the visit, according to Jonathan, who also serves as the head of the ECOWAS Mediation Team in Mali, was to discuss problems affecting Africa and the West African area.

“I came to brief the president about some continental and subcontinental bodies,” he told journalists on his exit from the State House.

“I am the ECOWAS mediator for Mali and I’m the chair of the West African Elders Forum. So, there are certain issues bordering on the continent and the subregion that I discuss with various presidents.”
