Early life
Rita Dominic hails from the Royal Nwaturuocha dynasty of Aboh, Mbaise local government area in Imo State.
She was born on 12th July, 1975 to Mr. & Mrs Dominic Nwaturuocha who were health personnels. Her father was a Medical doctor while her mother was a Nurse.
Education
Rita schooled in the South-South region of Nigeria despite being of the Igbo descent.
She had her secondary education at the Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, before heading to the University of Port Harcourt, where she graduated with a BA Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999.
Career
She started her onscreen career right from her early days as a child. She featured in several school plays and also took part in children TV shows at her hometown.
Her entry into Nollywood began with her appearance in a movie titled, “A Time to Kill” in 1998 which catapulted her to the public space.
She has since then featured in several Nollywood movies and has so far been recorded as the the highest paid actress in the industry. She has also produced several movies through her production company, Rita Dominic Productions.
She is the co-founder of Audrey Silva Company and an ambassador for GLO, a telecommunication company in Nigeria.

In 2022, the Nollywood star actress tied the knot with her Fiance, Fidelis Anosike who is the CEO of the Folio media Group, a multimedia company that owns Daily Times Newspapers.
