1. Wigwe University

Wigwe University, named after the late Access bank Boss, Herbert Wigwe is located in Isiokpo, Rivers State.

It currently takes the lead as the most expensive University in Nigeria with a tuition fee of N12m per session, inclusive of accommodation and other school charges.

2. Nile University

Nile University is located in nation’s capital city, Abuja and was founded in 2009.

It is the second most expensive University in Nigeria currently with about N5.95m as tution fees excluding other school charges.

The school currently has six faculties and a School of Postgraduate Studies, as well as over 4,000 students (undergraduate and postgraduate) and it offers 33 undergraduate programs and 43 postgraduate programs.

3. Baze University

Baze University a private university located in Abuja, Nigeria that can offer quality education but at a high price.

It started operating in April 2011 with a Foundation class and three Faculties: Management & Social Science, Law, Computing & Applied Sciences.

The school presently has 6 Faculties which include the three (3) foundational faculties, Faculty of Engineering, Basic Medical, and Environmental Sciences.

With a whooping fee range of N2,722,500–N5,025,000 per session, the school ranks third in this exclusive list.

4. Lead City University

Lead City University, also known as LCU, is a private university located in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

The school offers various programmes  for both the young adolescents and adult working class.

Programmes are offered by specialized faculties in Social Sciences & Entrepreneurial Studies, Information Technology & Applied Sciences and Law.

These courses are rendered at a rate of N2.5- N5.5 per session, placing it among the expensive universities in the country.

5. Afe Babalola University

Afe Babalola University is a private Nigerian University founded  by Chief Afe Babalola (SAN).

It is the fifth most expensive University with a tution fee of N4 Million per session excluding accommodation which costs N850,000 for the Super Deluxe one-person room, and other fees.

The school is located in is a Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

6. Pan-Atlantic University

The Pan Atlantic University started fromthe Lagos Business School (LBS), established in 1991.

The school charges between N3.9m to N4.4m for its most expensive programme, B.Eng Mechatronics, covering reading materials, and academic facilities.

7. Igbinedion University

Igbinedion University, located in Okada, Edo State, is Nigeria’s first private university, known for its commitment to quality education and academic excellence.

According to the school’s website, final-year medical students can pay as much as N4m as tuition, other school charges exclusive.

8. Bowen University

Bowen University is the first private Baptist Christian University in Nigeria, it is located at Iwo in Osun State.

According to its website, the most expensive programme which is the Medicine and Surgery  programme, costs around N3.8m per session, other school charges exclusive.

At the commencement of a new semester, 70 percent of the school fees is expected to be paid while the balance of 30 percent is expected to be paid at the commencement of the second semester.

9. American University of Nigeria

It charges N3.511m as its highest fee for its undergraduate engineering students, this excludes accommodation which costs N432,000 for its triple-room apartment, and feeding which costs N813,960 for 21 meals.

10. Benson Idahosa University

Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State, is a private, Christian university.

It was formally called Christian Faith University, but was renamed in honour of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, a charismatic Pentecostal minister from Benin City, Nigeria.

The University started operating as a fully licensed institution in March 2002 with an initial student enrolment of 400, registered into two faculties (Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences, Education, and Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences).

Its Medicine and Surgery programme costs between N3.3m and N3.5m per session, according to its website.

This is closely followed by its Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Law programmes which cost N1.8m, N1.5m, and N1.2m respectively per session.
