Biography

Son of former governor of Kogi State, Shuaibu Abubakkar Audu was born on 6th November, 1980 in Kogi state Nigeria.
He obtained his first degree in Business Economics from the University of Leicester in 2001.

In 2013, he furthered for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Oxford.

Career

He earns his income as an investment analyst with Stanbic IBTC at Lagos. He also directed the bank’s assets management subsidiary.
Audu also served as chief executive officer of Stanbic IBTC Investment for 10 yeras before he joined politics.

Political history

He contested as Kogi State governor in the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform but could not make it during the party’s primaries.

Shuaibu Abubakkar Audu was appointed the Minister of Steel Development by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in August, 2023.
