Michael Chigozie Alagwu, also known as Tempoe, is a Nigerian record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter.
He is popularly known for the tag “MÄD!” at the beginning or end of all his music productions.
He became famous after he produced ” Love Nwanti”, an afrobeats song sang by CKay and is the producer behind some of the hit tracks by Omah Lay, Joeboy, CKay, Jason Derulo, Victony amongst others and is currently signed to Panda Entertainment.

Early Life
Tempoe was born in Lagos State to Mr. and Mrs Alagwu on April 13th, 1996.

He had his early elementary and secondary education at Lagos State before heading for higher studies at the Sarz’s Production Academy.
Career
Tempoe was firstva as a statistician and web developer in Nigeria’s budding tech industry before diving into music.
His first break came in 2016 after meeting with then afrobeats producer, CKay, who led him to him produce the latter’s first official single, “Nkechi Turnup.
He went on to produce other songs, such as Container for CKay and Play for Blaqbonez, both signed to Chocolate City.
In 2019, Tempoe collaborated again with CKay in the production of the afrobeats single, Love Nwantiti which was certified platinum in France and the United Kingdom and double platinum in the United States and the Netherlands.
November 2020, Tempoe teamed up with singer Omah Lay, producing another successful single, Godly, which garnered over 100 million accumulated streams across all music sharing media’s ranking at number 5 and number 15 in Ghana and Kenya’s top 100 tracks on iTunes.
also produced the single Door from Joeboy’s debut album, Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Alcohol, which received 50 million streams within four weeks of its release.
In May 2022, he produced and performed in the single, Soweto, the lead track off Victony’s Outlaw EP, which is his first official single as a performing artiste.
He released a video of the song in October, 2022 which accumulated over 8 million views on YouTube within few weeks and it also featured at number 15 on Rolling Stone magazine’s Top 40 Afropop Songs of 2022.
He signed a publishing deal with APG, an American record independent publishing group and this merger led to the production of Robinson and Jason Derulo’s single Ayo Girl, which features fellow Nigerian afrobeat artist, Rema.
