Tension as LG Chairman, Vice die days apart in Ondo

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area in Ondo State unexpectedly died just days apart, leaving the area in a state of shock and turmoil.
The sudden deaths of the two top council officials have brought the community to its knees, deepening the grief of its citizens.
The head of the neighborhood council, Bankole Ogbesetore, was the first to pass away.
Ogbesetore was reported to have passed away from his illness after suffering from an unspecified condition since last year.
Last week, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the state’s acting governor, paid a condolence visit to the late Chairman’s home in the wake of the tragedy.
Confirming the developments, a political leader in the axis and former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, said, “It is on a sad note and pain that I’m here again to announce the tragic death of our council vice chairman, Hon. Anthony Adebusola.
“This unfortunate death occurred yesterday after a brief illness. It is painful that we lost both our elected council chairman and his amiable, loyal vice chairman within one week.”
