Tinubu presides over third FEC meeting in Abuja

The third Federal Executive Council meeting of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is now taking place at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.

George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, are all present at the meeting, which started at around 1:30 p.m.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who is on vacation in the United States of America, as well as some ministers, including Lola Ade-John, the Minister of Tourism, and Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Culture, Art, and Creative Economy, are absent.

The council meeting will now be conducted on Mondays instead of Wednesdays, as Mohammed Idris, the minister of information and national orientation, said last Monday.

Idris clarified that the council might not convene weekly but rather just when there are urgent matters that need to be handled.
