Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, has expressed concern about President Bola Tinubu’s academic credentials.
Atiku alleges Tinubu has something to hide regarding his academic credentials at Chicago State University.
Speaking through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku expressed optimism that what Tinubu is hiding will not give Nigerians a heart attack.
He made the remark in response to Tinubu’s move to halt the Northern District of Illinois ruling ordering Chicago State University to produce his academic records within two days.
The court’s decision came in response to a complaint brought by Atiku, who is contesting Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.
However, Tinubu’s lawyers contended in a motion that a magistrate should simply report and recommend to the district judge in such cases, rather than making a definitive order requiring immediate compliance.
In response, Ibe stated that Atiku’s position on Tinubu’s academic records will be made public soon.
A statement by Ibe reads:
“It should be now obvious even to the blind that Tinubu is hiding something in his records at the Chicago State University, and even elsewhere.
“I do hope whatever it may be, it will not be of a scope that will give Nigerians a heart attack. Nigerians will soon see the true position of Atiku on the records of Tinubu at CSU. It is just a matter of time.”
