The House of Representatives has approved budgets for the Nigerian Customs Service and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund totaling N706.434 billion and N57 billion, respectively.
The approvals came after the House Committees on Customs and Excise and Police Affairs discussed and adopted their reports in plenary on Wednesday.
Out of the N706.434 billion Nigerian Customs Service budget, N225. 993 billion is for personnel costs, N111. 765 billion is for overhead costs, and N368.675 billion is for capital expenditures for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024.
For the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, of the total of N57.014 billion, N937.993 million is for Personnel Expenditure, N9.051 billion is for Overhead Expenditure, N9.989 billion is for Recurrent Expenditure, and N47.024 billion is for Capital Expenditure for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023.
