Wike’s loyalist, Kingsley Chinda, emerges Reps Minority Leader
Kingsley Chinda (PDP-Rivers) as emerged as the 10th House of Representatives’ Minority Leader.
At a meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus on Friday in Abuja, Mr. Chinda, who represents Rivers State’s Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, assumed leadership.
This came when his front-runner, Oluwole Oke (PDP-Osun), withdrew.
Lawyer by profession Mr. Chinda, 57, served as Rivers State’s commissioner for the environment.
Nyesom Wike, the former governor of the state, is an Obio/Akpor native as is Mr. Chinda.
The 10th Assembly of the House also saw the emergence of Ali Isah (PDP-Gombe) as the Minority Whip. Gombe State’s Balanga/Biliri Federal Constituency is represented by Mr. Isah.
