Zacchaeus Adedeji was born into a Yoruba family in Oyo State, Nigeria on 8th January, 1978.
He grew up in Iwo-Ate, Ogbomoso, Oyo state and comes from a family with a renowned history in the cocoa industry.
Education
Zacch Adedeji had his formal education a secondary in Afujio local government area in Oyo state.
He went further to Federal Polytechnic, Ede, where he excelled in accountancy, earning a distinction. Subsequently, he gained admission into Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife and graduated with a degree in Accounting.
He studied at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the US, where he completed an Executive Course in Economic Development and has a doctorate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University.

Zacchaeus Adedeji has over 15 years experience in corporate accounting, public service administration and public service advisory. He served as a Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, between 2011 and 2015.
He led a team of less than 50 personnel to institute a Medium-Term Financial (MTF) strategy for the overall framework of Financial and Budgetary management of Oyo state.
Adedeji’s extensive expertise in corporate tax and public finance development led to his present position as executive secretary of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), which he currently holds.
He is a co- founder of RTR, a financial consulting company that specializes in giving public officials and corporate institutions throughout West Africa full-service financial counseling and policy creation services.
He was Special Adviser to the President on Revenue and currently appointed as the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) by President Bola Tinubu.
