After defeating the host nation, Ivory Coast, 1-0, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have increased their reputation as one of the favorites to win the African Cup of Nations this year.
After Ivorian defenders bundled scorer Victor Osimhen in the penalty area in the 55th minute, Nigerian teammate William Troost-Ekong scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot.
