Victor Osimhen, a Super Eagles striker, has reportedly been cleared by the team’s medical staff for Wednesday’s semi-final match against South Africa.
According to The Nation, the Super Eagles left Abidjan for Bouaké on Monday evening without star attacker Victor Osimhen due to gastrointestinal problems.
Babafemi Raji, the team’s media officer, confirmed the event and said the team physicians had placed him under careful supervision, with a member of the medical staff staying behind in Abidjan with him.
According to sources in Abidjan, Victor will join his teammates in Bouake after being confirmed healthy and is likely to play in the game.
The Napoli striker has been a crucial part of the Eagles’ impressive AFCON run, starting all five games in Côte d’Ivoire, scoring once and setting up Ademola Lookman against Cameroon.
